Teacher Quality and the National Partnerships
14 Jul 2009
The Teacher Quality component of the Smarter Schools National Partnerships has been announced. The plan contains elements that engage and apply processes of the Institute of Teachers, and these are indicated in the link provided below.
There are three National Partnerships agreements (Teacher Quality, low SES School Communities, Literacy and Numeracy). Government, Catholic and Independent schools in NSW will share in National Partnerships funds to recognise and reward quality teaching. Recognition of Teacher Quality is linked to the Institute's Professional Teaching Standards at the levels of Professional Accomplishment and Professional Leadership.
