Maintaining accurate records for NSW government teachers

From January 2016, NSW government teachers will only need to update their accreditation and employment details in one location.

The Board of Studies, Teaching and Educational Standards (BOSTES) and the Department of Education have an information sharing agreement. This means NSW government teachers update accreditation information with BOSTES and employment and personal information with the Department.

The information is shared so accurate records are held by both organisations.

When BOSTES receives changes to your employment and personal details from the Department you will receive notification from BOSTES.

Both BOSTES and DoE maintain strict security and privacy provisions consistent with the Personal and Privacy Information Protection Act 1998.
